Thread tapping – TTT - Tapping Torque Test System
microtap has specialized in controlled thread
tapping and its analysis. With the machines threads (M1-M16) are cut or
molded, and screw sockets as well as screws are fastened by means of
torque control. Torque monitored propulsion units and force-neutral
pressure impact provide for technically optimized production at low
costs. No change of guiding spindle, no limitation of engine speed.
Unlike common process monitoring systems, which only inform about tool
breakage, operators of microtap thread tapping devices avoid tool
breakage and scrap entirely. As quality control takes place straight at
processing, no additional control equipment is necessary; creation of
value is secured.
With the new type line
“labtap” and a specially developed computer-analysis-software the thread
tapping device is not only fit for quality production of threads in
small series and large-lot productions but also turns into a comparative
test apparatus and laboratory device. So the operator is able to
calculate and determine optimized process parameters such as selection
of optimum tapping tool, cutting speed, amount of lubricant and tool
life – prior to processing.
